*Today we are going to take a look at 2 primary sources relating to life in the Middle Colonies. You will be using the "Read Like a Historian" technique to break down each of the sources. You will be doing this with a partner, and will be given about 15 minutes for each source. You will be turning this in at the end of class!
*Colonies Matrix will be due on FRIDAY! (We will finish up the New England colonies tomorrow)
*Today you are going to finish analyzing the primary source for the Southern Colonies. I will give you about 10 minutes and then we will go over it as a class
*We are going to start the Middle Colonies today. We will add the middle colonies to our map and label them.
*You will be filling in notes on the Middle Colonies. There are only 2 colonies that you will be taking notes on. Fill out these notes using the Colonies Matrix and the website shared with you on Google Classroom.
*You will be given 10-15 minutes to finish up the Southern Colonies notes (What you don't finish will be homework)
*We are going to learn a new strategy for analyzing primary source documents called "Think Like a Historian". We will go over the steps together and then analyze two primary sources. The first primary source I will do with you, and the second you will work with a partner on.
*No Homework :) Unless you need to finish any of the Southern Colony notes.
*Today we are going to talk about "Mercantilism", "Triangular Trade", and "The Middle Passage". All three topics are essential to understanding the colonies and the relationship the English colonies had with England
*You will be completing a packet in class today. We will read it together, and there will be questions for you to answer. And yes, we will even do a bit of math today!
